- Violet is still working on setting up Mailchimp as our eblast provider and will be postponing the transition until July 13th due to creating the easiest accessibility to our congregation. - If you know of anyone or has checked on those who are shut in or do not have computer access please send their name and physical address to Communications@oslchurchdenver.org. ABOUT THE FILM
Trailer link – https://youtu.be/o4sW-ax9ecA
SYNOPSIS: Indigenous environmental leaders embark on an extraordinary trans-continental adventure from the Boreal forest to deep into the heart of the Amazonian jungle to unite the peoples of North and South America and deepen the meaning of “Climate Justice”. The Condor & The Eagle documentary offers a glimpse into a developing spiritual renaissance as the film four protagonists learn from each other’s long legacy of resistance to colonialism and its extractive economy. Their path through the jungle takes them on an unexpectedly challenging and liberating journey, which will forever change their attachment to the Earth and one another.
The Condor & The Eagle premiered in October 2019 at the Woodstock Film Festival, was selected by 28 world-renowned film festivals and has won 8 awards including Best Environmental Documentary at the 2019 Red Nation Film Festival.
Please mark your calendars and register today for this community event!
Please send prayer requests or praise reports to OSLC915@gmail.com
Prayer Requests:
We mentioned various prayer requests within small groups on Sunday. As a collective and not being specific, we lift up that everyone stays well and smart during these unprecedented times, we pray for all small businesses and restaurants affected by Covid, we lift up marriages and health factors that are in question, we lift up the caregivers as they care for others, we lift up the first responders as well as the well being of the human race, we pray that we are given the right words and heart when we are faced with those who do not see eye to eye with us, we pray that we are willing to have those tough conversations that are so important to bridge the gaps of difference, we pray for those struggling against white privilege as an individual as well as group, and we pray that though we are undergoing hard times, that we all can rediscover joy under restriction.
