Good Friday, April 15, In-Person and Zoom Worship

Life and death stand side by side as we enter into Good Friday. In John’s passion account, Jesus reveals the power and glory of God, even as he is put on trial and sentenced to death. Standing with the disciples at the foot of the cross, we pray for the whole world in the ancient bidding prayer, as Christ’s death offers life to all. We gather in solemn devotion, but always with the promise that the tree around which we assemble is indeed a tree of life. We depart silently, and we anticipate the culmination of the Three Days in the Easter Vigil.

Memorial of Loss and Community Serving Sunday June 27, 2021

Join us at 9:30am we will have a Memorial of Loss. COVID-19 has taken a lot from us. We have lost loved ones, jobs, identity, friends, community, holidays and so much more. Join us as we take some time before serving Sunday to recognize these losses on Sunday, June 27th. Please bring in pictures, images, trinkets or the like, to recognize and mourn.

Shortly after the Memorial of Loss, join us as we service the community in various ways this Sunday. We will be collecting toiletries and non-perishable foods for neighboring shelters and Metro Caring. Please select here for the list of items needed. Please touch base with Lisa G to see where you can make a difference this Sunday for our community.

Both gatherings will be outside and in person at 915 E. 9th Ave Denver, CO 80220. We hope to see you there.

Faith Formation Series: Community Violence Part 2

We take a theological look at the problem of community violence and also how we as a church are to begin to face these real problems together as the body of Christ. While adopted back in 1994, this document is worth looking at.
